Vanilla Ice Goes Amish follows rock-star home improvement expert Vanilla Ice as he travels deep into the largest Amish settlement in the United States. He is on a quest to learn the lost art of hand-craftsmanship and will embed with an Amish family to arrive at his goal. Along the way he will meet a group of young Amish men and women who teach him the traditions, practices and trades that have made the Amish one of the most mysterious — and misunderstood — groups in the world. Together they will tackle construction projects ranging from kitchen additions to an old-school barn raising.
Season 1, Episode 1 - "Stranger in a Strange Land"
Vanilla Ice arrives in Amish country and says goodbye to modern conveniences as he settles into his new life on the farm with his Amish host John. After an early morning wake up call, and a rigorous round of shoveling manure, Ice joins his Amish construction crew to begin renovating an outdated kitchen for a devout Amish family experiencing some hardship.
Season 1, Episode 2 - "Palm Beach Patio Hits Ohio"
John assigns Vanilla Ice to a backyard patio project and relies on him to bring his Florida design talents to this bleak Ohio yard. Working hard to win over his new Amish crew, led by 19-year-old foreman Kevin, he learns first-hand about their work ethic while teaching them a few tricks and rhymes of his own.
