The story of the original World Cup, the Jules Rimet Trophy, which was hidden from the Nazis during World War Two, stolen during the tournament in England in 1966, then discovered by a dog called Pickles, then finally stolen again in Rio, having been awarded in perpetuity to Brazil, where it was melted down into gold bars. Using archival footage and interviews with international football stars, historians and journalists, the program traces the convoluted history of the famous trophy.
