On the final leg of this parallel journey, Adnan Sarwar and Babita Sharma travel along either side of the northern section of the Indo-Pakistan border. It’s immediately apparent to both of them that decades of cross-border unrest has had an enormous impact on the area.Babita meets Indians who were injured by attacks and sees how the border has divided families. Meanwhile in Pakistan Adnan’s route takes him into the mountains – a drive that requires armed guards because of recent attacks by Islamic extremists. Reflecting on his border journey Adnan feels optimistic about the future while Babita is saddened by how people are still paying the price of partition.
