Amazing footage caught on some of the capital’s four hundred thousand CCTV cameras reveals criminals involved in robberies, thefts, drug crimes, street brawls and a rampage involving guns and the Mets Air Support Unit.

A one-off edition of the documentary in which journalist Nick Wallis reveals how CCTV and technological advances are helping to ensure convictions. Nick visits Stafford to meet seasoned CCTV operator and ex-police officer Barbara, who helps catch a drug user after spotting him on camera. Plus, control room operative Chris is on the lookout for regular shoplifters in Woking, while mild-mannered Jo foils a gang of thieves in Huntingdonshire.
