Edmonton’s Rexall Centre is set to host the biggest night in Canadian country music. The Canadian Country Music Association 2013 (CCMA) honours its members who have excelled during the past year, with a Canadian Country Music Award. The Awards are handed out each fall during Country Music Week.

The Canadian Country Music Association® is pleased to announce that Johnny Reid is the recipient of the 2011 CCMA Humanitarian Award. Established in 1989, the CCMA Humanitarian Award recognizes outstanding Canadian country artists whose humanitarian contributions have positively enhanced the social fabric of Canada. The CCMA Humanitarian Award will be presented to Mr. Reid at a private industry event during Country Music Week 2011 to be held in Hamilton, ON September 9-12.
