Bake Off: The Professionals invites six teams from top hotels, restaurants and small businesses to battle it out for their place in the competition. In each episode the expert pairs are challenged to two rounds that will test their professional ability and allow them to showcase their creative flair. A new presenting line up of Tom Allen and Liam Charles will offer their own comedic take on events in the professional's kitchen.
Season 01, Episode 01 – “Miniature Classics & Black Forest Gateau"
The first requires the teams to finely craft two batches of uniform miniature classics - 24 conversations and 24 tartes aux fruits - in just three and a half hours. For the second challenge, the Showpiece, the teams have five hours to reinvent a classic dessert. The dessert this time is a retro favourite - the Black Forest gateau. At the end of the two days, one team must leave, while the remaining unit lives to bake another day.
