Secret State is a drama series which is inspired by Chris Mullin's novel A Very British Coup. Deputy Prime Minister Tom Dawkins vows to take on the American petrochemical company Petrofex following a devastating accident on British land.

Deputy Prime Minister Tom Dawkins vows to take on the American petrochemical company Petrofex following a devastating accident on British land. After the suspicious death of the Prime Minister in a plane crash, Dawkins' political ambitions are tested as Ros Yelland and Felix Durrell vie for the top job.
