Ross Kemp examines the effect that post-traumatic stress disorder is having on our Armed Forces as they return from Afghanistan. In this thoughtful documentary, he speaks to soldiers about how dealing with the mental wounds of warfare can be as hard – or sometimes harder – than overcoming the physical scars. Soldiers can be reluctant to leave their homes and feel that their personalities have been changed by what they saw on the battlefield. Some can be so traumatised by their experiences that their thoughts turn to suicide. It's a timely reminder, following Remembrance Sunday, that for many the war in Afghanistan will never be totally over.
