Hannah goes to visit Tom in hospital, but she's shocked when she learns he has escaped. Rob is now in the middle of conducting a missing persons enquiry in order to track Tom down, and haunted by the old folk songs she's found in Tom's home, Hannah insists he try's to find him in Scarborough. Rob meets Tom's neighbour and gets let into his home, here he finds multiple connections between Tom and Scarborough, including documents which reveal Tom once had a wife named Dorothea who died in a accident on the day the pair returned from their Scarborough honeymoon. Shirley shocks Hannah when she reveals she has seen another ghostly figure by the window Alison jumped from. Alison's post mortem comes back saying she had water on her lungs. Roshanna discovers her son has the other half of the photo. Hannah takes Sean to Scarborough, hoping to find Tom herself.
