NCIS (Naval Criminal Investigative Service) is a police procedure styled action-drama, primarily based in and around the Washington D.C. Metropolitan area, which features a colorful team of agents whose job is to investigate crimes connected to members of the U.S. Navy or U.S. Marine Corps. Leading this team of agents is Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon), a former Gunnery Sergeant of the U.S. Marine Corps with a series of self-imposed “rules” and a fondness for redheads. He is a highly-skilled investigator with gut instincts that never let him down. Working under Gibbs is very Special Agent Anthony DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly), a former Baltimore homicide detective, a lover of women and a movie buff, who successfully and skillfully gets the jobs done. Joining these two, is Agent Kate Todd (Sasha Alexander), a beautiful, tough and former Secret Service Agent who has gone head-to-head with Gibbs in the past. For disheartening reasons, her NCIS reign ends in Season 2, where she is then replaced by Liaison Officer Ziva David (Cote de Pablo), an exotic Mossad Agent who is still adjusting to America and it’s famous idioms. In Season 2, adorable and geeky MIT graduate and computer wiz Special Agent Timothy McGee (Sean Murray) also becomes an official member of Gibbs’ team.
