Ahead of the new series of Lambing Live, Kate Humble will explore the connection Britain’s farmers have to the land and share her own fledgling experiences of the farming life in a special documentary, Lambing Live: Farming Families. Springtime is the busiest time of year for sheep farmers, with 16 million lambs expected over the next few weeks. Kate meets some of the families working hard to put food on our tables. Why do they do it? How does it feel to live and work together day in day out? She will also revisit some farming families from the previous two series - the Beavans in South Wales and Marstons in Cumbria - to explore their connection to the land, before heading to Scotland to meet a few of the farmers making a living north of the border and introduce this year’s Lambing Live family - the Dykes.
