Steve Jones hosts the contest in which 8 amateur hairstylists compete against one another for the title of Britain's best amateur hairstylist.

Season 1, Episode 1
In the first challenge the 8 hopefuls have to incorporate a 7 centimetre quiff into a hairstyle. The second challenge see's the contestants tested on cutting human hair on mannequins. The final round before elimination sees the stylists asked to create a fairytale inspired hairstyle.
