At a secret meeting inside a deserted wooded area, two young boys are eyewitnesses to a grotesque massacre. The boys are almost killed, but escape with the murder weapon. They hide the weapon and impose on themselves a vow of secrecy about what they have seen. The following day one of the boys’ foster mother Helen Sikkeland, who is sheriff in the village, is confronted with the murders of four members of the Ferrymen motorcycle club.
