A moving account of the events a decade ago on Boxing Day 2004 when a tsunami swept across eleven countries in the Indian Ocean, killing nearly 250,000 people of many nationalities. For the survivors and the bereaved, it was a disaster that has changed their lives forever. The film includes powerful testimony from those who survived being swept away by the wave, as well as those who lost loved ones. A mix of user-generated content, home movies and news archive helps tell the dramatic and terrifying story of the day itself, revealing how in the face of unimaginable tragedy, many have somehow managed to carry on. Ten years on, the memories of those who survived are still extraordinarily vivid.
