Toast of London is a sit com which focues on Steven Toast, a middle-aged actor who has a chequered past and spends more time dealing with his problems off stage rather than actually performing on it.

Things are starting to look up for Steven as his agent Jane Plough gives him some exciting news that he's won a 'Best Actor' award from trendy Bra'z' Magazine. Ed Howzer-Black has invited Kikini Bamalam, the daughter of the Nigerian ambassador, to stay as she recovers from her latest botched cosmetic surgery.
